10 Things that did/didn't happen at a Crazy Golf Hire

When people book the Putt Putt Golf mini golf hire for their wedding, they expect fun, laughter, and a little friendly competition. What they don’t always expect is absolute, glorious chaos. Over the past year, we’ve seen just about everything—from impromptu speeches on the green to golf balls turning up in a glass of Champers!!

So, here’s our highlight reel of ten times our crazy golf hire setup nearly stole the show, some events happened and some "nearly" did. You work out what's true and what's been embellished!!!

1. The Speech That Went Off Course At one summer wedding in Essex, the groom decided to deliver his entire speech mid-putt. Microphone in one hand, putter in the other—he somehow managed both a hole-in-one and a heartfelt toast to his new wife. We think he peaked right there.

2. The Bridesmaid and the shoe One bridesmaid took her hole in one way too seriously, stepped back, and broke the heel off her shoe in the soft turf. Cue ten minutes of laughter and a rescue mission involving the best man and a drive to the hotel for another pair of shoes!

3. The Competitive Father of the Bride It started as a friendly putt-off. It ended with the father of the bride declaring himself “undefeated champion” and demanding a rematch at the anniversary party. To be continued.....

4. The Prosecco-Driven Putt-Off We’ve learned that mini golf and prosecco is a dangerous combo. By hole nine, the laughter levels were high, and the putting accuracy... not so much. One guest was seen attempting a “trick shot” through a bouquet.

5. The Kid Who Outsmarted Everyone At a Mulberry House wedding, a 10-year-old ring bearer quietly dominated the leader-board, leaving adults scratching their heads. Turns out he’d been secretly practising all week on a putting mat at home.

6. The Best Man’s ‘Victory Lap’ After sinking a final shot, the best man celebrated by running a lap of the course, pint aloft, shouting, “Tiger who?” He later admitted he hadn’t actually won.

7. The Windmill That Fought Back Our signature windmill hole has seen its fair share of drama. One guest spent five minutes timing the blades perfectly... and still managed to hit it. 10 times!!!!

8. The Accidental Bouquet Toss During one round, the bride took her swing a little too enthusiastically, sending her bouquet flying into the crowd. Everyone cheered—it was basically a two-for-one tradition.

9. The Surprise Proposal Yes, it’s happened! One groom-to-be popped the question right on our course, using the flag as a prop. She said yes (and sank the next putt).

10. The Grand Exit Putt At a "That Amazing Place" wedding venue, the newlyweds’ final act before heading off was to sink a joint putt together—then walk off to applause. It was pure movie magic.
