10 Rules of Mini Golf Hire
Please read these before you tee off.
-
Teeing Off: Choose your club and ball, head to the 1st hole, and place your ball on the tee area when it's your turn. Take a small swing—this isn’t the 1st tee at St Andrews! Not your turn? Step aside and stay safe—you're playing at your own risk, so don’t get hit or hit anyone else.
-
Stay in Bounds: The course is marked by white edges. If your ball goes “out of bounds,” return it to where it was hit with a 1-shot penalty.
-
Stroke Limit: There’s a 6-stroke limit per hole. If you reach 6, pick up your ball and mark a 6 on your scorecard. We call it the “Mercy Rule.”
-
Follow the Course Order: Play the holes in order, starting at hole #1. No cutting in!
-
Ball Near the Edge?: If your ball is close to the white course edging, you may move it one ball's width away for a cleaner stroke—no penalty.
-
Only Use the Club: Don't use your foot or anything else to move the ball. Only the putter is allowed to touch it, except in Rule 5.
-
Wait for the Ball to Stop: You must wait until the ball is completely still before taking your next swing.
-
Finish the Hole: Putt your ball into the white cup to complete the hole. Mark your score based on how many strokes it took.
-
Keep Score: Record your strokes for each hole on the scorecard provided. If you’re among the top 10, add your score to the magnetic leader board. The player with the lowest total score wins. Ties may be settled with a sudden-death play-off.
-
Most Important Rule—Have Fun!: Mini golf is all about enjoying yourself with friends, family, or even your rivals. Be competitive, but remember its only a game and keep it fun!
Please play the course at your own risk and take care!
