There's always one!

Corporate events are meant to build team spirit and boost morale — but when Putt Putt Golf rolls in, things tend to spiral from friendly competition into full-blown comedy chaos. Here’s our list of the most ridiculous moments we’ve witnessed while setting up our mini golf course for team days, office parties, and summer socials.

As it says in the title, some of theses may or may not have happened. Some have, some have been embellished and some have been the work of our imagination, you work out what's true and what's not!

1. The CEO Who Took It Way Too Seriously We’ve seen competitiveness, and then we’ve seen CEOs bringing their own glove, laser rangefinder, and personal putter. He even asked if we could install “practice greens.” (We couldn’t. It’s the car park.)

2. The HR Hole-in-One Celebration That Got... HR Involved When the HR manager scored a rare hole-in-one, her victory dance turned into a viral moment — mostly because she tripped over the leader-board and accidentally took out the company logo sign.

3. The ‘Team Building’ That Turned Into Trash Talk A London marketing agency got so carried away with their internal tournament that by hole four, the quiet intern was smack-talking the managing director. The MD missed his shot, naturally.

4. The Client Who Turned It Into a Business Pitch One smooth-talking salesman decided the best time to close a deal was mid-putt. He lined up, shook hands with his prospect, and sank the shot — contract signed on the next hole. Respect.

5. The Guy Who Tried to Putt With a Sandwich You’d think people would know which end of the club to hold, but one catering manager decided his BLT was “close enough.” We didn’t argue. He still missed.

6. The Great Golf Cart Getaway Okay, so it wasn’t technically one of our holes — but someone decided to “borrow” a golf buggy to retrieve a lost ball. They returned 20 minutes later with the ball, a coffee, and no remorse.

7. The Office Romance That Started on Hole Six It began with playful banter, turned into coaching tips, and ended with the classic: “Fancy another round sometime?” The couple later invited us to their wedding — naturally, with Putt Putt Golf booked

.

8. The CFO Who Declared Himself World Champion After a single round, the company’s finance chief printed certificates declaring himself “CFO (Chief Fairway Officer).” We still have the photo. He’s wearing a paper crown.

9. The Weather-Proof Enthusiasts Some teams let rain stop play. Not this lot. They finished the final hole under umbrellas, soaked to the skin, and cheered like they’d just won the Ryder Cup. Legends.

Corporate mini golf has a way of turning ordinary office teams into comedy gold. Whether it’s in a hotel courtyard, a company car park, or a conference hall, one thing’s guaranteed — it won’t be boring. Call the fun experts, call PuttPuttGolf now
