Building the Famous Putt Putt Windmill - PuttPuttGolf

Our motorised windmill has become one of the most talked-about features on our Putt Putt Golf course. It looks great, runs smoothly for hours, and gives every player that classic “timing the shot” challenge.

Now I must confess that I spent weeks "brain storming" ideas in my head, then testing materials and fine-tuning the design to make sure it looked stylish enough for weddings but tough enough for a busy summer of events. It took a while and it took a couple of re-designs too. I needed something that looked beautiful but was robust AND that wouldn't injure anyone if they stuck their little or big fingers into the windmill blades too.

That challenge nearly broke me but I got there in the end.

As for how it works — I'm afraid that’s a trade secret! Let’s just say there’s a touch of clever engineering and a bit of magic behind those spinning blades and if I gave that up, I wouldn't sleep at night. So sorry that secret stays with us!
